Again the Swedes brought spirit but not many legs, dressing 6 or so to face a full bench of Goldn Blazers blazing. Down 2-1 leaving the first, things seemed containable, until the Blaze poured in on in the second, netting a veritable potpourri of shots. Smith, beleaguered and befuddled, sucked wind as the peppering continued. Good play from Crosby and Buckley helped matters, but the Swedes were badly outshot and got outhustled on rebounds. The Blaze seemed to classily back off in the third, as the gassed Swedes were shot. Losing 7-3 is another painful reminder of how you can't expect to dress less than half the squad and play a good team like the Blaze. |
Bifulco holds the electricswedes recored for the most penatly minutes in a single season. He began his NESHL legacy at the 2009 summer tryouts. Neil is coming back for his 2nd NESHL season with the Electric Swedes.
